A challenge for many people in leadership roles is to have conversations about difficult situations. Often sitting behind this is the absence of a skill set to address issues as they arise. Sometimes issues are only addressed when they have developed to a point when they can no longer be ignored and a major disagreement has erupted. To someone outside that situation, it often appears as though the issue has arisen out of nothing but for those in it, it’s as though it’s been going on forever.
